Californians Believe in Democracy: Californians know that our strength comes from participation. The more people who vote, the stronger our democracy becomes. That’s why the California Democratic Party has been continually building up our year-round organizing program to turn out the vote.
Republicans are Scared of the Record Turnout of Voters Supporting Prop 50: Knowing that voters are turning out in record numbers to support Prop 50, California Republicans are already trying to cast doubt on the election results before a single vote is counted. They are also attempting to suppress the vote by calling in federal forces to intimidate Election Day voters at polling places.
Every Voter Deserves to Feel Safe and Respected: Federal forces have no place at our polling places. Californians should never feel intimidated for exercising their most fundamental right. Everyone deserves to vote freely and without fear.
