Mission
We, the Yuba County Democrats, are committed to advancing the principles and values of the Democratic Party. Our mission is threefold:
Party Operations: We take responsibility for managing the party’s operations within the county. This includes making endorsements, organizing events, and allocating resources to support candidates at the local, state, and national levels.
Empowering Democratic Candidates: We strive to build and sustain our collective power to enable good Democratic candidates to succeed in elections at all levels. Our goal is to see Democrats elected to office and champion causes that align with our party’s values.
Advocacy and Education: We advocate for and inform citizens about the Democratic Party’s principles and philosophy. We actively contribute to the California Democratic Party’s efforts in electing candidates for local, state, and federal offices.”
Through these endeavors, we aim to strengthen our democracy, promote progressive policies, and create positive change for our community and beyond.
Leadership
The YCDCC consists of members elected from each of the County’s Supervisorial Districts, as well as the Democratic nominees for Congress, State Senate, Assembly, and State Constitutional office.
YCDCC members are elected based on the California Election Code. Any interim vacancies are filled by appointment through a vote of the current membership.
