VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - YCDCC/YD&F JOINT VOTER REGISTRATION May 30 & 31, Yuba-Sutter Pow Wow, Yuba Community College, 2088 North Beale Road, Marysville: we have multiple tabling slots available.  Please contact Eleanore Rewerts at 906-6474 or at yubadcc@gmail.com to sign-up as soon as possible! Saturday May 30: volunteers needed noon-2, 4-6 pm, 6-8 pm Sunday May 31: volunteers needed 1-3 pm, 3-5, 5-6 four needed for breakdown Tuesdays and Thursdays, banner drop with Yuba County Democrats, meet at the Park and Ride lot in Olivehurst. Stand safely on the overpass and spread the message, spend an hour with like-minded people to speak out against our current administration policies. Encourage people to vote blue and support democratic candidates. Bring your own sign, but we will have signs available. This is the monthly meeting to make decisions and plan actions. Help us table table at the Marysville Juneteenth event, Saturday, June 20 at Yuba Park, a free event. From the California Democratic Party: CALIFORNIA’S FUTURE IS ON THE LINE - CAST YOUR BALLOT TODAY: Tens of millions of Californians have already received a ballot in the mail as required under California law.   You can still register and vote in-person through June 2. In California, elections are no longer one day — they are a full month of voting, starting the moment ballots hit mailboxes. Ballots can be dropped in official drop boxes, turned in at vote centers, or returned by mail (no stamp needed).   Early in-person voting is already happening in many counties.   California uses a top-two primary system, meaning the two highest vote-getters advance to the General Election, regardless of party. That makes turnout decisive: your participation will determine who makes the November ballot, including in the California Governor’s race. If California voters have questions or encounter issues related to elections and voting, our CADEM Voter Protection Hotline Operators will take calls at 1-877-321-8683(VOTE) until the polls close on June 2, Election Day!
