THE TRUMP-SLUMP ECONOMY CONTINUES TO HURT WORKING FAMILIES:

  • 2025 had the slowest average monthly job growth in a non-recession year since 2003.

  • Manufacturers lost 8,000 jobs in November for the eighth straight month of job losses, bringing total losses since Trump took office to 63,000 factory jobs lost.

  • In December, the construction industry lost 11,000 jobs, mining and logging lost 2,000 jobs, and retail trade lost 25,000 jobs.

  • Under Trump, more Americans believe that it’s getting harder to find a job — with expectations falling to a record low.  

  • Americans believe they are more likely to miss a minimum debt payment over the next three months than during any period since April 2020.

  • More families are also reporting that it is harder to get credit compared to a year ago.
