THE TRUMP-SLUMP ECONOMY CONTINUES TO HURT WORKING FAMILIES:
- 2025 had the slowest average monthly job growth in a non-recession year since 2003.
Manufacturers lost 8,000 jobs in November for the eighth straight month of job losses, bringing total losses since Trump took office to 63,000 factory jobs lost.
In December, the construction industry lost 11,000 jobs, mining and logging lost 2,000 jobs, and retail trade lost 25,000 jobs.
Under Trump, more Americans believe that it’s getting harder to find a job — with expectations falling to a record low.
Americans believe they are more likely to miss a minimum debt payment over the next three months than during any period since April 2020.
More families are also reporting that it is harder to get credit compared to a year ago.
The Trump-GOP Big Ugly Bill:
Gives more permanent tax breaks to the top 1% than to the bottom 60% combined.
Raises costs for the poorest 20% of Americans.
