Wednesdays - Bridge Brigade!

Help get the word out! We are being bombarded by No on 50 commercials. We must fight back. Let's do a Burma Shave style display on the Bridge. 

We need 8 people to hold large signs along the sidewalk of the HWY 20/10th St. Bridge, 4 people on each side. We will have 60 minute shifts on Wednesday from 11:00 to Noon. Your job is to hold the signs so the traffic can see them. 

The signs will spell out our yes on 50 message, with 2 words on each sign. (STOP TRUMP'S -POWER GRAB-VOTE YES-ON 50) .Volunteers will space themselves in single file at least 30 ft. apart, giving drivers the opportunity to read them. Wave, play music and have a good time. Together, we can do this. Dress for the weather, wear walking shoes, and bring water. 

• Vote Yes on Prop. 50 to approve a new, temporary congressional district map to be used until 2030.
• Prop. 50 provides a COUNTERMEASURE to Republican partisan redistricting actions in other states, such as Texas.
• Prop. 50 DEFENDS VOTERS from authoritarian acts and power grabs in other states.
• Prop. 50 LEVELS THE PLAYING FIELD by offsetting gerrymandered maps elsewhere.
• Prop. 50 is A TEMPORARY SOLUTION. It DOES NOT ABOLISH California's Independent Redistricting Committee which will resume it's duties in 2030.

YES ON 50! PLEASE SIGN UP FOR A SHIFT TO HOLD OUR SIGNS! We will meet in the Save Mart parking lot and walk up the Bridge. Signs will be provided.
