About this event

Help get the word out. We are being bombarded by No on 50 commercials. We must fight back. We need 8 people to hold 2 large banners on the overpass at Plumas Lake BLVD on HWY 70. We will have 60 minute shifts on Mondays and Fridays during commute times. Dress for the weather, wear walking shoes, and bring water. Your job is to hold the banner so the traffic below can see it. You wave, play music and have a good time. Together, we can do this.

Vote Yes on Prop. 50 to approve a new, temporary congressional district map to be used until 2030.

Prop. 50 provides a COUNTERMEASURE to Republican partisan redistricting actions in other states, such as Texas.

Prop. 50 DEFENDS VOTERS from authoritarian acts and power grabs in other states.

Prop. 50 LEVELS THE PLAYING FIELD by offsetting gerrymandered maps elsewhere.

Prop. 50 is A TEMPORARY SOLUTION. It DOES NOT ABOLISH California's Independent Redistricting Committee which will resume it's duties in 2030.

YES ON 50! PLEASE SIGN UP FOR A SHIFT TO HOLD OUR BANNER! We will be meeting in the Walgreens parking lot off the Plumas Lake Blvd. Exit. (West side of HWY) You will walk up the ramp to the overpass. We have a Banner for each side.
